About this Course
The future is here. From self-driving cars to autonomous AI agents, technologies from science fiction have become part of everyday life. In this First-Year Experience course, we'll read classic stories that predicted our present, asking what they got right, what they missed, and what we can learn from them today.
Along the way, we'll explore questions about what it means to be human, the ethics of artificial intelligence, machine learning, love, and consciousness, while developing the reading, writing, and critical thinking skills that will prepare you for success in college and beyond.
