Grounded in the teachings of Christian Science, Principia College welcomes students from all faith
backgrounds who are eager to grow spiritually, not just intellectually.
We strive to express God’s unconditional love for everyone and see each individual as the
unlimited image and likeness of God. We value prayer, individual spiritual growth, and compassionate,
selfless service to one another. We nurture the love of good—in thought and action—and encourage
everyone on campus to embrace their own spirituality.
We see Christ Jesus as a role model inspiring them towards lives of service and healing.
Although Principia is not affiliated with the Church of Christ, Scientist, the practice of
Christian Science is the cornerstone of campus life.
Office of Spiritual Life
The Office of Spiritual Life (OSL) at Principia College strives to support and nurture the spiritual development of every student.
We do this by nurturing the formation of strong communities of faith; providing opportunities for individual spiritual practice and growth that resonate across faith traditions; helping students learn interfaith skills that they might respect one another as well as go deeper in their own faith and spirituality; exploring how spirituality contributes towards healing for oneself and the world; and fostering engagement with Christian Science.
Our close-knit, multifaith community sparks deep connections where students, faculty, staff, and coaches support one another's spiritual growth and deepen their connection to God and prayer—finding spiritual tools that can help anyone navigate whatever life throws their way.
Our spiritually grounded environment provides many opportunities for students to grow spiritually. We hope everyone can find their spiritual home here.

Reputedly the largest CSO in the world and entirely student-led, it's a thriving community built on shared values, genuine connection, and a deep love of Christian Science. Whether you're diving deeper into your faith or just finding your footing, this is your space to explore, grow, and belong.
