Our partnership with Fresh Ideas Food Service means one thing for you: meals made from scratch. We take pride in scratch cooking and serving food with fresh ingredients, which translates to real flavor in every bite, not reheated processed meals.
What does this mean for your daily life? You get all-you-care-to-eat meals in the dining hall. With dining services open from 7 A.M. to 8 P.M. daily, you'll never have to choose between attending that evening study group and getting dinner.
100% of food waste is composted by Dining Services
We're not just feeding students—we're feeding the future. Principia is one of only 14 institutions (businesses, colleges, and universities) in Illinois to achieve IFSC (Illinois Food Scrap Coalition) "Gold Partner" status for 100% pre- and post-consumer composting. Every meal you enjoy contributes to our zero-waste dining initiative, making your food choices part of something bigger.
