We’ll transfer as much credit as possible for the work you’ve already completed. The specifics are different for each student, so we won’t know for sure until we see your transcript. Generally, though, courses taken at other fully accredited colleges and universities are accepted for credit provided they parallel courses available at Principia and were completed with a grade of C– or higher. You can contact the Registrar’s Office to determine exactly what transfer credits would be accepted.
As a transfer student, you can start classes at the beginning of fall or spring semester, but we welcome your application anytime.

*Due to the suspension of the SAT/ACT standardized tests from March through August of 2020 (due to COVID-19), and the potential impact on applicants, the Admissions Committee is currently offering an holistic assessment exam for applicants as an alternative to the SAT/ACT. The holistic assessment is currently being offered to applicants applying for Fall of 2022—please contact Nicole Gervais, Interim Director of Admissions & Recruiting, for more information.
