TRANSFERRING CREDITS

We’ll transfer as much credit as possible for the work you’ve already completed. The specifics are different for each student, so we won’t know for sure until we see your transcript. Generally, courses taken at other fully accredited colleges and universities are accepted for credit provided they parallel courses available at Principia and were completed with a grade of C– or higher. You can contact the Registrar’s Office to determine exactly what transfer credits would be accepted.

APPLICATION PROCESS

As a transfer student, you are welcome to start classes at the beginning of either the fall or spring semester. To complete your application for admission, you will need to submit the following:

  • Online application through The Common Application

  • College transcript(s) from all previous institutions

  • High school transcript

  • SAT/ACT scores*

The Common Application

*Students who have demonstrated college readiness at a previous institution with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and > 30 SH of academic coursework will not be required to submit test scores for admission consideration. Our holistic approach ensures that each student is seen as their unlimited self, not simply as a test score. Our Admissions Committee offers an alternative approach for students who do not have test scores available for consideration.
