Plenty to Do on our Campus
Every weekend brings something new — live concerts, open mic nights, movie screenings, and legendary annual events like the Brooks Beach Bash, Andy Art, Casino Night, Buck Pork and Play, and the epic FergBowl Super Bowl watch party. Kick off the year with Fall Ball, celebrate Homecoming, dress up for Spring Formal, and join in cultural celebrations like Hispanic Heritage Month's salsa dance event and Black History Month festivities
Not feeling the crowd? The College Center and Piasa Pub are perfect for a low-key hang with your closest people. Or, challenge your friends to ping-pong and pool at the Student Activity Center.
Oh, and if you've got a talent for getting people hyped? You can get paid to plan the fun as a Social Assistant on the Campus Events Team. Best. Job. Ever.
Explore the Area — It's an Adventure Out There
Just a short drive away, the riverside towns of Grafton and Alton are calling your name. Soar through treetops on a zip line, glide over stunning bluffs in a gondola, rent a jet ski on the river, or hike through the gorgeous Pere Marquette State Park. On weekends, hit up the flea market for hidden gems, farmers market for farm-to-table treats, or lace up your skates at The Loading Dock Ice Rink. Every outing feels like a mini adventure.
St. Louis Is Your Backyard
Only 45 minutes away, one of America's most exciting cities is basically your personal playground. Catch a concert at more than fifty exciting venues. Ride to the top of the iconic 630-foot Gateway Arch. Scream your lungs out on the rides at Six Flags. Get lost in City Museum — a mind-blowing, all-ages playground built from caves, slides, and reclaimed materials that must be seen to be believed. Catch a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, explore the massive (and free) Saint Louis Zoo, or skate and picnic through the sprawling beauty of Forest Park.
Feeling cultured? Discover world-class art at Citygarden, exotic plants and waterfalls at the stunning Botanical Garden, or the fascinating exhibits at the Saint Louis Art Museum.
The Bottom Line
Here, boredom isn't really an option. Between campus events, riverside adventures, and a world-class city at your doorstep, your college years are going to be unforgettable. The only question is — where do you start?
