Application Reminders
- The Principia application is free for all domestic students.
- Students can apply through the Principia application or the Common Application.
- Admissions decisions are typically made within one week of receiving a completed application, including official or unofficial transcripts.
- Principia is test-optional. Students who choose to submit test scores may be eligible for additional financial aid.
FAFSA
A student must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid. Principia College's FAFSA code is 001744.
Transcripts
Electronic transcripts help students receive their admissions decisions faster than transcripts sent by mail.
We review every high school transcript to determine a student’s GPA, which is considered in both admission and scholarship decisions.
Unofficial transcripts may be submitted during the application process, but an official transcript is required before enrollment. Our preferred electronic submission services are Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, Scoir, and Encoura.
Official transcripts may also be emailed to [email protected]. If electronic submission isn’t available, mail an official transcript to:
