Principia College offers 28 different majors. Some have a single focus like English or physics. Others are interdisciplinary like environmental studies and global perspectives. You can also get a minor in most areas that offer a major, along with a few special minors.

But you don’t have to stick with the options we offer. If you’d like to design a one-of-a-kind major tailored to your interests, that’s okay, too. You can even include courses from other institutions. You’ll need a faculty sponsor, and your plan will have to be approved, but having the freedom to follow your passion is worth that extra effort. Aviation education and management, family studies, and range management are a few examples of the special majors students have created.
