Dr. Julie Blase teaches introductory and advanced courses in international relations, U.S. foreign policy, globalization, security, Latin American politics, and Middle Eastern politics. She has served as chair of the College Curriculum Committee and College Scholastic Committee. She led the first Principia Lifelong Learning trip to Cuba.

Scholarly Interests

Blase's most recent interests include how concepts of security have evolved since WWII.

Contributions to Field

Blase has written and presented research papers or given talks on concepts of security, U.S. immigration policy, U.S.-Mexican security issues, the effects of globalization on U.S. federalism, and project-based learning.
