What is Panther Week?
Panther Week is Principia's orientation program for all new students, running from August 13–22. It's an exciting week filled with move-in, campus tours, workshops, social events, and opportunities to meet your classmates and get acclimated to life at Principia.
What Happens During Orientation?
During the week, you'll:
- Move into your residence hall and meet your housemates and residential staff
- Attend workshops on academics, student life, and campus resources
- Participate in the Bridging the Gap retreat, designed to build skills for engaging across differences
- Enjoy social events, from welcome dinners to special performances
- Connect with advisors, faculty, and fellow students who will support you throughout your time here
- Take campus tours and learn about key locations and services
For Families
We're excited to have families participate in orientation activities on Thursday, August 13. You'll be able to help your student settle into their room, attend a welcome assembly, enjoy a family dinner, and watch a special performance. It's a great way to see the campus and meet the Principia community.
Questions?
If you have questions about orientation or need more information, contact the Office of Admissions or the Office of Residential Life. We're here to help make your transition to Principia as smooth as possible.
