Get Out the Map
Program Summary
Get Out the Map: Pathways to Global Citizenship will use geographic and infographic maps as a framework to visualize and interpret personal and cultural experiences, leading students towards an expanded understanding of what it means to participate in global citizenship.
Throughout the semester, students will use visual and written languages to examine the same concepts and questions. The courses we intend to combine for this FYE arise from programs that are inherently multi-disciplinary: both Global Studies and Studio Art look at areas like geography, politics, sociology, cultural anthropology, and history from different angles in order to understand the world.
