Soprano Wendy Reynolds has enjoyed an active and varied performing career for 30 years, appearing in over 500 performances in 14 states. She has performed as oratorio and concert soloist, starred in musical theatre and opera, and loves to sing cabaret, jazz, and inspirational songs. Her other main passion is vocal pedagogy, and she has taught voice for over 25 years. Since joining the Music Faculty at Principia College in 2018, Wendy has continued teaching voice, and added her love of Music Theory as well as courses on opera and musical theatre to her resume. Wendy is passionate about helping students find their voice - no matter what they choose to pursue!

Scholarly Interests

  • My interest is continually piqued by observations around the relevance, purpose, and evolution of music in society, and its power to contribute to and comment on the world in which it is created.

Contributions to Field

  • Writing, producing, directing, and performing in the three-woman show "Duelling Divas: The Battle Begins!" which toured the country for five years Teaching and mentoring dozens of young singers for over 25 years, helping many of them begin their professional careers
