Have Fun Here
Have Fun Here
Never heard of Elsah, Illinois? You’re not alone, but don’t assume that means there’s nothing to do here. Principia College is the highlight and high point (literally) of Elsah. On any given week, you’ll find a variety of events happening—and friends always willing to join in the fun.
“I love the all-campus events like the winter carnival and glow-in-the-dark capture the flag! The houses host creative events and invite everyone on campus. All my friends were there, and we had a blast.”
—Annika Fredrikson (C'16)
On Campus
Every weekend, you’ve got choices, lots of ’em … from once-a-year extravaganzas—the Rackham Toga Party and Lowrey Rumpus, for example—to more frequent favorites such as open mic and movie nights or cheering on the Panthers at sporting events. Or if a quiet night with friends sounds best, the College Center, Piasa Pub, or your house living room are perfect for that.
If you're known for being social, why not get paid to have fun? SEPs (Student Event Planners) are student workers who initiate and plan social events on campus. That’s right—SEPs get paid to get the party started.
Off Campus
If you’re in the mood for a more urban scene, St. Louis is less than an hour away with a variety of theatres, concert venues, restaurants, sporting events, and one of the largest urban parks in the country where you can visit two nationally known museums and the zoo for free! Check out what’s coming up in St. Louis.
