Any Christian Scientist with a high school diploma or equivalent may apply for admission to Principia's non-residential online courses.

Spring Semester 2014 online course

Course title: Music of the World

Course instructor: James Hegarty, Associate Professor of Music

Course dates: January 20–May 2, 2014. Live class sessions will be held online Monday evenings from 7:30–9:30 p.m. CT.

Course credits: Three (3) semester hours

Course overview: A selected survey of classical, popular, and folk music traditions from around the world is studied, along with the roles of music as ritual, mode of communication, and artistic expression.

Tuition and payment options: Tuition is $1,895, and financial aid is not available for this course. Tuition can be paid in full at the time of enrollment or spread over a four-month payment plan. To enroll in the payment plan, students must sign the Principia College Student PrinBill Payment Plan Agreement. Please e-mail onlineacademics@principia.edu to request this form.

If you are admitted to this class after the December 26 payment date, you may still enroll in the payment plan and the have your tuition charges divided evenly over the number of remaining monthly installments. If you choose the payment plan, our Billing Services Dept. will e-mail you information on how to access your account via www.PrinBill.com. HOW TO APPLY

Completed applications are due no later than 5 p.m. CT on January 16, 2014.

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Request a Christian Science reference from a Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner.
  3. Provide a copy of your high school transcript showing that a high school diploma, or equivalent, has been awarded by e-mailing it to onlineacademics@principia.edu.
