New International Students
Congratulations!
We're excited that you will be joining us at Principia College. Our diverse student body comes from more than 25 countries, and we look forward to the contributions you'll make to our global learning community.
Please review the important next steps below.
Next Steps
Pay Your Tuition Deposit
Nothing "official" happens until you pay your $450 tuition deposit, so don't delay! You can submit your payment by wire transfer or online using any major debit or credit card. (Please note that the tuition deposit increased June 24, 2019 in accordance with the change in U.S. government’s SEVIS fees.)
Send Required Information to Principia
Email the following information to Niklas Peschke at International Admissions:
- A copy of the main page of your passport. If you don't have a passport, apply for it immediately. You'll need a passport before you can apply for your visa.
- Physical address including street name and number. We cannot use a P.O. Box.
- TB test results. U.S. health laws require you to submit written proof from a medical authority that you are free from tuberculosis as determined by a negative skin test or chest x-ray. The written results of this test must be on a medical doctor's (or clinic's) letterhead and signed by the testing official. You must submit the original document once you arrive on campus.
Apply for a U.S. Student Visa
Submit an application for a U.S. student visa. You're responsible for paying the one-time, non-refundable fee of $160 USD prior to your visa interview.
Book Your Flight to St. Louis, MO
You are financially responsible for your flight to St. Louis, Missouri (airport code: STL). You should book your flight after you've been granted a visa. Schedule your flight to arrive the day before International New Student Orientation. Orientation activities for international students begin August 12, 2019. Students are not permitted to arrive late.
