New International Students
We're excited that you will be joining us at Principia College. Our diverse student body comes from more than 25 countries, and we look forward to the contributions you'll make to our global learning community.
August is just around the corner, and there are plenty of things to do before you arrive on campus. Please review the important next steps below.
Pay Your Tuition Deposit
Nothing "official" happens until you pay your $300 tuition deposit, so don't delay! You can submit your payment by wire transfer or online using any major debit or credit card.
After receiving your payments, we can move forward with your visa documents.
Send Required Information to Us
E-mail the following information to Ifi at email@example.com:
- A copy of the main page of your passport. If you don't have a passport, apply for it immediately. You'll need a passport before you can apply for your visa.
- Physical address including street name and number. We cannot use a P.O. Box.
- TB test results. U.S. health laws require you to submit written proof from a medical authority that you are free from tuberculosis as determined by a negative skin test or chest x-ray. The written results of this test must be on a medical doctor's (or clinic's) letterhead and signed by the testing official. You must submit the original document once you arrive on campus.
Apply for a U.S. Student Visa
Submit an application for a U.S. student visa. You're responsible for paying the one-time, non-refundable fee of $160 USD prior to your visa interview.
Book Your Flight to St. Louis, MO
You are financially responsible for your flight to St. Louis, MO (airport code: STL). You should book your flight after you've been granted a visa. Schedule your flight to arrive the day before International New Student Orientation begins. Students are not permitted to arrive late.
See a list of important activities and dates that you and your family need to know about.
You'll arrive a few days early for New International Student Orientation before joining incoming domestic students for New Student Orientation.
While personal computers not required, many students choose to bring one to Principia. Read more about our computer recommendations and discounts.
Advising and Registration
The advising process begins in mid-May, and registration opens on June 4. Learn more about advising and registration.
