As assistant professor of music, Laura Garritson Parker teaches piano, violin, chamber music, and serves as an accompanist. A concert artist as well, Parker has made solo and concerto appearances in over ten countries. In the United States, she has performed in venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, New York. Abroad, she has been a featured soloist in the Liszt Festival in Brazil and the International Arts Festival in Venezuela, as well as festivals throughout Europe. Laura holds bachelor and master of music degrees from The Hartt School and an artist diploma from Yale University where she studied with Luiz de Moura Castro and Boris Berman, respectively. Her recordings can be found on the Centaur and Naxos labels.
