Sara McDaniel holds an MFA in Creative Writing for both fiction and poetry from Queens University of Charlotte, North Carolina. At Principia, she teaches creative writing and literature courses in both poetry and fiction and acts as the advisor for the Friends of English Club. With her work in the Friends of English Club, she helps bring in a variety of visiting writers to campus and takes students to literary readings and conferences off campus in hopes of exposing students to a broad community of voices. She is a member of The Association of Writers and Writing Programs and has contributed an article to the literary website, Stories I Read, Stories I Tell. Prior to her work as an instructor of English, she worked as a graduate assistant coach for Principia College’s athletic department. Currently she is working towards publishing a collection of short stories.
