Duncan Martin

Duncan is s currently working on a painting project, 58 in 58, painting in all 58 National Parks in 58 months.  This year he has worked in Arches, Canyonlands, Great Sand Dunes, Rocky Mountain, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. .  His 2012 show at Davis Dominguez Gallery in Tucson, Arizona includes 15 paintings from the National Parks painting project.  For more information visit http://duncanmartin.squarespace.com

Duncan Martin studied painting with Neil Welliver at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving an MFA in 1986.  He has exhibited his work at Davis Dominguez Gallery, Tucson, Arizona; Susan Street Fine Art, Solana Beach, California; Nielsen Gallery, Boston, Massachusetts: gWatsongallery, Stonington, Maine.

After teaching in the Art Department at Principia College from 1986 –1995, Duncan left to focus on painting the southwest, living in Northern New Mexico, Southern Arizona and Southwestern Colorado.  Along the way he has directed painting workshops and taught at Cochise College and Pima Community College in Southern Arizona.  In 2010, Duncan returned to Principia College to be a Professor of Art.
