Jump-starting vehicles
Emergency jump starting is available by Watchmen 24 hours a day. Please call the gatehouse at extension 5111 to request a jumpstart to inquire if a security officer is available to perform the service. There is a $10 charge for this service. (We do not service hybrid vehicles.)

Lost and Found
The Campus Security office is Principia's official "lost and found" site. If you are missing an item please check to see if we have it. If you find an item, bring it to us and we will store it for the owner to claim.

FINES

The school/Campus Security reserves the right to administer moderate fines as part of discipline for the disregard of Principia’s rules and policies, or an offense against the community or individual. Fines for subsequent offenses are generally increased. In addition to fines, serious or multiple offenses could result in a disciplinary hearing at Community Board, and possible suspension. The following are examples of typical first-time fines that would be charged for each violation and to each individual involved in an incident. If an incident results in a large sum of fines, the school/Campus Security will consider giving students the option of working off fines.

Campus Security Ticket Fines - Only
Appeal: An appeal must be made (in writing) within seven (7) days of a violation at the Campus Security office.
Payment: Payment of a Fine or Fee must be made within seven (7) days of the violation in cash or check at the Campus Security office window; open 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. week days only.
Pay Fine or Fee Using MarketPlace: Using your computer, go to PrinWeb College and click on The Principia MarketPlace at the top left. Under the Store Categories on the left side, click on College, College Campus Security, then click on the icon that best suits your need.
Traffic Violation Fines:

1. Any fine not paid within seven (7) days will receive an additional $10.00 late penalty; a notice will be sent via email. Failure to pay the fine and late penalty within a total of fourteen (14) days from violation date will accrue an additional $15.00 penalty; we will not send an additional notice for this accrual.
2. We reserve the right to remove the vehicle parking decal and additional tickets may be issued.
3. A “wheel boot” can be placed on vehicles that have been ticketed four (4) times for any minor offences in a semester/summer. Removal of the “wheel boot” requires $50.00 Cash, payable at the time of removal plus any fines, penalties, and a new vehicle decal (if it was removed).
4. Upon the third (3rd) ticket for moving violations, the vehicle can be restricted from the campus by removal of the vehicle decal and/or "wheel booted". Removal of the "wheel boot" requires $50.00 Cash, payable at the time of removal plus any fines, penalties, and a new vehicle decal (if it was removed).
5. Fall and Spring breaks are considered part of Fall and Spring Semester; tickets issued during Winter break will be handled on a case by case basis, decided by the Campus Security Director.
6. A ticket can be Issued for the same offence once every 24 hours.
