President’s Forum
You and your families are invited to a special event which marks the opening of the Commencement weekend, the President’s Forum. This is the inaugural forum and will be held in the Chapel from 7:30 – 9:00 on Thursday, May 10th. The Forum will celebrate the 100 years of higher education at Principia and feature three of our emeriti professors, including one of our former college presidents. Paula Bradley is an emeriti professor of French, Colin Campbell is an emeritus professor of English, and David Pfeifer is an emeritus professor of philosophy and a past president of the College. They will share some of their insights, experiences, and inspiration from their combined over 100 years at Principia. I know this will be entertaining and inspiring and hope that it will become a new tradition.
Child Care
Out of loving consideration for our graduates and their guests, children under the age of three will not be admitted to the auditorium. Free child care for children nine years of age and younger is provided. To pre-register for child care, please contact Jennifer Johnson at extension 5609 or by e-mail at thelovebugroom@gmail.com.
Special Needs
If a member of the commencement audience has a special need (help with mobility, hearing, etc.) we will do our best to accommodate. Please contact usher captain Sue Fuller at 618-374-2001, or by e-mail at suefuller2001@gmail.com.
Note: We are lovingly supporting all students as they move towards graduation. Because these dates are being posted in advance of the deadline for fulfillment of commencement requirements, families of graduates are encourage to confirm their students' graduation status before completing travel plans.
