Contributions to Field
- Collaborated with First Nations communities in Northern BC to develop a model for supported child development (special education) that was responsive to their needs.
- Delivered a two year pilot project supporting remote community members to access post-secondary education through videoconference. This successful program continues and facilitates marginalized child care workers to formally enter the education field.

I was led to teaching from a sincere desire to release children from systemic and institutional oppression. As my career developed I narrowed my focus of influence to supporting future educators as a way to meet this aim. My chief concern is creating a curriculum culture that liberates, rather than controls students.
I spend my free time with my family; I love to walk and spend time outdoors. I adore British murder mysteries and binge-watch them on Netflix during school breaks!
