New Student Enrollment
There are simple steps new students need to take to complete their enrollment at Principia College.
BEFORE ARRIVING ON CAMPUS
- Accept our offer and pay your $100 reservation deposit
In order to accept our offer of admission, a $100 reservation deposit is required and should be paid once you are certain of your decision to attend Principia College.
- Plan your arrival on campus
Review semester arrival dates for new students, and submit the Arrival Form as soon as you have confirmed your travel plans.
- Ensure Principia has your final transcripts
Final high school/college transcripts need to be sent to the Admissions Office. High school registrars typically do this on behalf of students (if they are aware of their final college choice). If you are unclear if a final transcript was sent to Principia, or if your college plans changed after graduation, please contact your high school’s registrar to request they submit you transcript to Principia. Transfer students should submit their transcripts as soon as final grades have posted.
- Review health insurance enrollment information
Students will be automatically enrolled in Principia’s zero-deductible insurance program through Gerber Insurance. Read more.
- Complete employment forms
There are many on-campus employment opportunities for students. You’ll learn more during New Student Orientation. Application and tax forms can be completed once you arrive on campus, but we encourage you to mail this information to Principia during the summer.
- Review immunization and religious accomodation requirements
You have two options for meeting Illinois' legal requirements for college attendance. You must either submit proof of appropriate immunizations or a signed Principia College Religious Accommodation Form. Please read the complete information here. We recommend you submit the appropriate documentation before arriving on campus.
ONCE ARRIVING ON CAMPUS
- Complete grade release form
Complete the Student Grade Release Form in order to provide approval for who may receive information about your grades and academic progress.
If you have any questions, please e-mail the Admissions Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call them at 618.374.5181.
