A veteran of student affairs work, Dorsie Glen began her career at Principia in 1989 as a resident counselor in one of the women’s houses. She later served as residence director for eleven years, overseeing the staff and activities of eleven residence halls housing upperclassmen, while also working closely with the director of freshman housing. As residence director, Glen was instrumental in the design, implementation, and administration of innovative approaches to the investigation and resolution of student misconduct. She became Dean of Students in 2008.

A graduate of Principia College with a double major in history and sociology, Glen has also completed graduate coursework in religion and ethics. Her professional affiliations include the Association of Student Judicial Affairs, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and the Institute for Global Ethics.

“The Principia takes the position that education in its fullest sense cannot be confined to academic subjects but includes the building of character.”
